You never give me your money...

Kiddo made this purse around Christmas time and just found it again in her toy box and has been obsessed with carrying it around.

Cara:  "Momma, what's in your purse?"

--I rattle off the contents of my bag--

Cara:  "Ok.  So I'm going to need your phone, some gum, some pens and pencils, your car keys and......all the money in your wallet so I can see if my purse will hold up."

I liked how she didn't need the wallet, just all the money.  She was disappointed to find that I didn't have any!  

What Brown Does for Bubs

Bubs:  "Momma, you know whenever you make brownies it looks like poop."

--I laugh--

B:  "Momma, you laugh whenever I say poop.  You think its funny when I say poop."

--more laughing--

B:  "Poop."

After making the brownies Bubs went to play baseball on the Wii with Cara...

B:  "mmmMMM!!  Cara!  Whenever you throw the junk I don't get any hits!"

In the rain

I was going to clean the kitchen.  I'm glad I waited until later!  

Bubba Bites

Some funny things Bubba said while getting tickled/having a pillow fight:

"Hey Mike...I got somethin for ya" (hiding a couch pillow behind her and then dropping it forcefully on his face)

"HEY! Stop tickling me! I SAID STOP TICKLING ME!!!! You're on my team, Momma. You're supposed to throw pillows, not be ticklish"

"Nice catch, big guy!"

Negotiations

"....And in the middle of negotiations, you break down."

A dinner conversation:

Bubs: Momma, I want a snack too
Me: You need to finish your sandwich
B: I don't want to, I want some strawberries
--15 minutes of negotiations--
B: the only way you are going to get me to eat that sandwich is if you give me a strawberry. A STRAWBERRY!!!
M: The only way you are going to get a strawberry is if you eat your sandwich
B: mmmmmMMMMMMMM! (with accompanying angry face and subsequent stomping off to her room)
--5 minutes later, a return to the conversation--
B: The only way you are going to get me to eat my sandwich is if I can eat a strawberry
M: You need to eat your sandwich first (I get up to put the strawberries away)
B: Don't you do that!! Don't do that!!!!
M: I'm doing that
--I proceed to the fridge to put the strawberries away on the top shelf and a chase ensues
B: That's not where you put them before (stomps off to bedroom again

I Spy

A friendly game of I spy in the dark.
Emily: "Hey Cara! Wanna play I spy?"
Cara: "Sure"
E: "Ok, I'll go first. I spy...my little eye....something that is green........and dark.......and.............in the dark-en-ness."
C: "Is it trees?"
E: "Yes."
